The first part will present the observed `gender gap` in time use patterns in Canada and in China.

Second, it will present the ‘Blinder-Oaxaca Decomposition technique’.

Third, a presentation of the decomposition results for Canada and China will be presented.

Forth part will discuss the policy implications for achieving gender equality in time use patterns.
