Curriculum development has been another key issue in SPAP. Achievements have been made in textbooks and teaching methods. 14 textbooks edited by SPAP were selected as national standard textbooks and several were awarded as excellent textbooks by MOE and Beijing government. Several courses in SPAP were awarded as high quality courses both in national level and municipal level.

A new journal Public Administration and Policy Review (CN10-1062/D), sponsored by SPAP, was officially launched in 2012. This journal targets on the research and discussions on contemporary China public administration and public policy.
