On December 3, 2016, Seminar on MPA Recreational Education and Leadership Development, as well as the First National MPA Badminton Friendly Match, was held in the gym of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The Match was sponsored by MPA Education Steering Committee, undertook by MPA Education Center, Graduate School of CASS, and co-organized by CASS’s MPA Alumni Association. 17 teams attended the friendly match. They came from Ministry of Education, Tsinghua University, Peking University and other universities all over the country. After one-day fierce competition, RUC team qualified as first in its group and then defeated all the competitors to won the match.

The First National MPA Badminton Friendly Match grew out of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region MPA Universities Badminton League, which was initiated by RUC and has been hosted three times by Renmin University of China, Peking University and Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication respectively. Since the activity exerted a quite positive influence on the exchanges among MPA teachers and students, theMPA Education Steering Committee extended the range to all MPA education institutions in China since 2016. It plays an active role in enhancing the social influence of MPA education as well as in enriching the MPA education.
