The Introduction of Dual Master’s Degree Exchange Program of School of Public Administration (1 + 1 + 1 model) 

The School of public administration, Renmin University of China has been committed to creating good international exchange platform for the students to make students broaden their international perspective, building international academic platform, enhancing academic accumulation, extending the interpersonal relationship network, enriching life experience and increasing employment competitiveness.

According to the educational system characteristics of master graduate student, our School has carried out the innovation of international communication mode of master graduate student, creating the program of "1 + 1 + 1 mode" of double master's degree: students study in Renmin University of China in the first year, study in a foreign university in the second year, and come back to China to finish study in the third year, thus obtaining two degrees in three years. "1 + 1 + 1 model" is different from general student exchanges, and its main purpose is to further study for a degree abroad. Through "1 + 1 + 1 model", students can learn more about foreign culture, participate in foreign university graduate programs, and cultivate better cross-cultural communication ability, finally obtaining two degrees; therefore, the employment competitiveness of students improves.

Our dual master's degree program started since 2010, and successively signed exchanges and cooperation agreement with more than 10 universities and academic institutions of the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, having created multiple programs of learning for a dual degree for the master graduate student of our school. Since 2010, 74 masters of our school took part in the double master's degree programs, among whom 64 have finished visit, and 10 are performing access to learning. There are 20 people who have attended Rutgers project, among whom 15 have completed access to visit, and five people are performing access to learning. Details are as follows:

Currently there are nine universities executing projects: Rutgers, the USA NIU, UK York, UK Cardiff, the Netherlands HIS, Japan kanazawa university, Australian Melbourne, Australian Canberra, New Zealand Auckland.

Since 2013, Country China Scholarship Council has subsidized cooperative undergraduate project, and such cooperation of our school meets the framework requirements of national funding. In 2013-2014, 5 of 11 students of our school having participated in the double master's degree program have got subsidized from Country China Scholarship Council. In 2014-2015, 9 of 11 have got subsidized. In 2015-2016, 9 of 10 have got subsidized.
